2017—2018 BOARD OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS

Jeffrey B. Augustine, CFA, CFP® Elected Board Chair

BOSTON – June 28, 2017 – CFA Society Boston is pleased to announce its newly elected officers and board directors. The election took place at the Society’s Annual Meeting earlier this month. 


Jeffrey B. Augustine, CFA, CFP®, was elected to the position of chair. Mr. Augustine, who joined the board in 2011, is the principal and founder of Augustine Financial Solutions LLC, a firm he started after working at Argent Wealth Management, LLC. Prior to that he served as senior vice president at Putnam Investments for Putnam Private Asset Management. While at Putnam he also served as head of quantitative research for the Municipal Bond Department. As a member of the executive committee since 2013, Augustine has served as CFA Society Boston's vice chair, chair of education and programs, secretary, and treasurer.

The following CFA Society Boston members have been elected to serve on the board’s executive committee. Erinn R. King, CFA, new vice chair, is a principal at Payden & Rygel. Ms. King has served on the board since 2015, most recently as chair of education and programs. Leah M. Hirshfield, CFA, new secretary, is director of investment risk at Wells Fargo. She has been a CFA Society Boston volunteer since 2011 and served as co-chair of the Young Leaders Committee from 2014—2015. Susan E. Farris, CFA, new treasurer, is a senior relationship manager with Atlantic Trust. She joined CFA Society Boston in 2007 and became a board member in 2014. This past year, Ms. Farris was board secretary. Rounding out the new slate of CFA Society Boston officers is Robert J. Fernandez, CFA, the new chair of education and programs. Mr. Fernandez is vice president of research at Breckinridge Capital Advisors, has been a CFA Society Boston board member since 2015, and served as treasurer for the past fiscal year.

Five members have been elected as new board directors. They are Lisa L. Chioffi, CFA, manager of investment portfolios for individuals, families, trusts, and charitable institutions at Reynders McVeigh Capital Management; Hugh L. Crowther, investment data scientist at Crowther Investment; Stephen R. Petersen, CFA, managing director at Seaward Management; Christine L. Todd, CFA, president of Standish and head of the tax-sensitive and insurance strategies; and Heather Young, CFA, vice president of Loomis Sayles & Company, and senior analyst for the bank loan team.
